Errors related to vgcore.dll can arise for a few different different reasons. For instance, a faulty application, vgcore.dll has been deleted or misplaced, corrupted by malicious software present on your PC or a damaged Windows registry.

The most commonly occurring error messages are:

• The program can't start because vgcore.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

CorelDRAW runs into a problem launching due to a runtime issue with Visual C++.

Solution

1. Check for Windows updates. If updates are available, please install them and reboot your computer as prompted.

2. Make sure that both the 64 and 32 bit versions of Visual C++ 2012, 2013 and 2015 are installed.

Go to Control Panel ► Programs (or Programs and Features)

3. If any of these modules are missing from the Programs list, go to the following links and download both the 32 and 64 bit versions of each Redistributable package:

**At the end of each repair or installation, you will be prompted to restart Windows. When prompted, please select “Restart Later” until all installs and repairs are completed.

Keep getting this error when i try open coreldraw, i have tried reinstalling and rebooting computer but cant seem to get coreldraw to work. This is also first time im trying to use coreldraw

Has anyone had this error before and got it fixed?

Try rebooting first, and if that does not help, a repair install of X7 -- which you can do by right clicking the X7 entry in control panel > programs and features.

• We tried that but still getting the error
• Has X7 ever worked on this machine? If it has, try a general reset -- hold F8 down while starting CorelDraw with the mouse and keep it held down until a reset message appears.
