Biore uv perfect protect milk review năm 2024

Superior lightweight UV block for face, Matte Effect. Provides long-lasting UV protection of SPF50+/ PA++++. It has an ultra light, non-sticky texture. Also an ideal makeup base, it contains Sebum-absorbing powder to give you that matte look and keep skin shine-free.

The UV Perfect Face Milk SPF50+ PA++++ comes in a 30-ml white plastic bottle with a thin nozzle closed by a simple twist cap. It has a scent that I can best describe as a tamed version of a sunblock. The instructions and other details are printed entirely in Japanese at the back of the bottle but the ones being sold locally have English translations on the cardboard packaging. It smells distinctly like sunscreen but milder which on some days, I don’t notice all that much.

The sunblock is more liquid than creamy, not as runny as water because I think it has a thicker consistency. Once it gets fully absorbed by the skin, the finish becomes matte and velvet-like. I like using it especially on the more humid days because it feels light and not sticky at all. Plus, it also acts as a makeup primer supposedly by helping prevent sebum production.

White cast is undeniable after application but it’s only minimal and I have never seen it affect any of the photos taken of me (not that there’s a lot). So if you’re worried about looking like you did not have the time to blend out your HD powders thoroughly because of flashback from digital photography, you can breathe easy with this sunblock.

I may be able to recommend this sunscreen to those with oily or combination skin types especially during the summer. I’m not sure yet of how it can affect oil production during the warmer months in the Philippines but know that I will be using this next summer when I can test it out further for oil control. That said I’m not yet ready to give it my approval but this sunscreen is pretty much a good option for me at the moment.

It retails for Php 397 in BeautyMnl and is also available in SM Department stores and PCX for Php 380.

Last week we talked about physical and chemical sunscreens; what UVA, UVB, and PA mean; as well as why protecting your skin from the sun’s rays is important. In case you missed it, check out my post!

Now we’re going to talk about the sunscreen products I had on my choice list and why I picked out this particular Bioré one!

To be honest, I do dislike putting on sunscreen because it’s so tacky and thick; just not pleasant to put on skin when it’s such a hot and sweaty day! And besides, it leaves a messy, muddy white cast on the face which does not look presentable; makeup slides all over and just won’t stay put. It’s such a pain to commit to wearing sunscreen everyday, especially during summer.

What I am looking for in a sunscreen

These are the things that helped me decide which sunscreen to get:

  • At least SPF 30
  • At least PA+++
  • Good for combination skin (I’m dry but can get oily during summer)
  • Sweatproof
  • No white cast
  • Lightweight (negotiable)
  • Great under makeup, doesn’t make makeup runny, can double as primer (negotiable)

My other choices + why I chose to buy this

Reading up, I saw recommendations for Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch, Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Water Light, Bioré UV Aqua Rich, Bioré UV Perfect Milk, Innisfree UV Eco Safety Perfect Sunblock, and Etude House Sunprise (any from the line). The Sunprise line is so adorable, tbh.

I also found a local product: Belo Sunexpert Tinted Sunscreen. It costs Php 450 and is available practically anywhere you can buy beauty products in the Philippines. It only comes in one shade and it looks a little too light on the swatches I found online, even when it is “medium to deep”. But I digress.

Maybe I’ll try this one next time.

Imported sunscreens usually cost around Php 400-600 for 30-50ml of product. The Bright Face Milk is one of the more affordable options (Php 380, 30ml); and, simply, it’s what was available at the Watsons I went to. Hahaha!

I wanted to get the Neutrogena Dry Touch because online reviews said it was great under makeup, but I was intimidated with its size (50ml, but looks big IRL). I also saw some posts about Neutrogena leaving a white cast, unless you’re really fair. I worried it might be a “waste” to buy a big product that’s pricey (nearly Php 600), when I am unsure if I’ll like it. I’ve seen more love for the Bioré sunscreens so I went with that.

To be honest, the Bioré UV Aqua Rich (blue tube with white cap) was what I really wanted from the line because it’s recommended for dry skin. The Watsons branch I went to didn’t have that particular variant so I picked up the Bright Milk instead (pink bottle); anyway I get a little oily during summer. I didn’t get the Face Milk (white bottle) because it’s marketed for oily skin and I thought it might dry me out.

What I got is the latest, 2016 formulation.

Superior SPF and PA for maximum protection against UV.

It’s supposed to cover pores, correct skin dullness, and brighten the skin tone. Smooth makeup application is to be expected after using this sunscreen.

It has an ultra light texture that you can smooth out evenly on skin, with a sheer and natural finish. There’s no white cast or white residue. Also, no fragrance added. It does contain an amount of alcohol so if you have really dry to dehydrated skin or if you’re allergic, it’s best to look for other options.

This is a hybrid sunscreen: it’s a physical sunscreen because it uses zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as sun blocking ingredients, but has properties of chemical sunscreens. Because it uses zinc and titanium, it’s a “safer” choice (if you are worried about possible long-term effects of chemical sunblocks). Read up on what physical and chemical sunscreens are here.

Review

I like the small size mainly because I wasn’t ready to commit to a more expensive, large bottle of product which I am not sure would perform well. The tube opening of the bottle is perfect for dispensing just the right amount of sunscreen! I drop a small amount of product on my forehead, one on each cheek, on my nose, and my chin.

THIS DOESN’T HAVE THAT ICKY SUNBLOCK SMELL! There’s a light scent to it but nothing irritating, annoying, or bothersome. The scent goes away quickly. There are no added fragrances to this product, which is something that I like!

Honestly, I took some time figuring out exactly how much product I should be using since the standard is 1/4 of a teaspoon. I read somewhere though that you only need a small amount for this one, so idk. Sometimes I put a lot, sometimes I use it sparingly. Lately, I’ve figured out that 2 drops on my forehead, one on each cheek, one on the nose, and one on the chin is just about the right amount for me.

It’s so easy to spread on the face because of the liquid formulation, and it feels very lightweight on the skin. I don’t feel like I’m wearing sunscreen at all! It’s not tacky on my face and dries (absorbs?) quickly, so you do have to spread it immediately. The finish is powder matte but I don’t find it drying… at least not now since I’m a bit oily during summer. It has a bit of a brightening effect, but nothing white or blinding. I was really surprised when I spread it out because the liquid is pale pink, but it didn’t leave a pink or white cast on my face! Although it will look a bit pinkish if you put on too much, it’s not an in-your-face pink hue.

It is great under makeup! My liquid foundation and BB cushion don’t slide around when I try to blend, and all of my makeup go on smoothly. As a primer, it doesn’t cover up pores much, but it’s enough for a natural, everyday look. It does brighten a little bit, but not like how a regular brightening primer or aura cream would. I do like it that way, though!

Final verdict, tl;dr

It’s a great deal for the price at Php 380: SPF 50, PA++++, lightweight, water/sweatproof, ok with combo skin, no white cast, great under makeup. It has everything that I’m looking for in a sunscreen!

Will I try other products? Yes, for the sake of my curiosity. But for reviewing purposes, I don’t find anything I dislike in this product and will definitely repurchase. I know I can trust this when all other sunscreens fail!
