A cheap, slow lens but with plenty of character. Note that whether it's a macro lens or not mostly depends on how you mount it. If you adapt it to an M42 mount with a longer flange, it's a macro lens, but you can use it as a normal lens with functional infinity focus if you mount it on an M39 adapter. Definitely shines as a macro lens though.
