These are some great local options I have tried and recommend.

International Cuisine in Phu Quoc

I normally eat local food and I am passionate about street food, but I appreciate a nice sit-down restaurant every now and then, and especially after spending a few weeks in the same country, my Western tummy craves for international food. While in Phu Quoc I found these restaurants to be the best of the best.

Jo’s Cucina Italian Restaurant – The best Italian food I’ve tried outside Italy!

My dining experience at Jo’s Cucina was a culinary delight, featuring Italian-inspired dishes with a Vietnamese twist, Jo’s Cucina is JM Boutique Hotel’s signature restaurant.

I was so lucky I landed here. I wanted to try everything from the menu. I went for the Fettuccine, and believe me when I say, it was the best Fettucine I’ve eaten outside Italy. I’ll say more, it was even better than some places in Italy – and I’ve been in the country more than 7 times!

Their drinks menu is also very varied. As much as dark beer is not a synonym for Italy, I love a good stout and I saw that they had a local Vietnamese Porter on the menu, so I decided to treat myself with it instead of going for more Italian drinks. It was wonderful and was the perfect combo for my pasta.

I ended the meal with a delightful Tiramisu and Affogato. I still remember this meal as one of the best Western foods I had in Vietnam in my three months in the country.
