Preferred Tickets to the 2023 Australian OpenYour 2023 Australian Open package includes your choice of Australian Open tickets to any session in Melbourne Park. Melbourne Park, formerly known as Flinders Park, has been home to the Australian Open since 1988. The complex is comprised of 39 courts, including the three stadium courts: Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne Arena, and Margaret Court Arena. All three stadium courts boast a retractable roof, allowing for play in unfavorable weather, making it the only venue on the Grand Slam circuit with 3 retractable-roof stadiums. The Melbourne Park courts are easily recognizable by fans due to the blue Plexicushion surface, which creates a lower and more predictable bounce. Rod Laver Arena Australian Open Melbourne Park

DestinationMelbourneMelbourne is a dynamic cosmopolitan city both stylish and forward-thinking, yet laid back and care free. The city is renowned for creative arts, world-class dining, amazing galleries, cafes, shops and spectacular sports and events. In the CBD, you will find hidden laneways brimming with street art, while just north you’ll find bohemian shopping strips and some of the best Italian food outside of Italy. Just outside the CBD, a short stroll or free tram ride away, is the world-famous MCG and Melbourne Park, host of the Australian Open. Intrepid travellers will adore this city for the endless opportunities that await; just one or two hours away lie wineries, National Parks, alpine towns and coastal roads. Melbourne has something for everyone and is the perfect host for your dream Grand Slam experience. ClimateJanuary is summer in Melbourne. Average highs are 26ºC and lows are 19ºC. Rainfall is limited and you can expect hot sunny days. We recommend choosing shaded seats for day sessions and Lower Bowl seats for night sessions. On exceptionally hot days, Rod Laver Arena’s roof will be closed and the arena will be air-conditioned, so there’s nothing to be concerned about; it’s all part of the summer tennis experience!
