  1mo The cloud computing market in Vietnam is low-value in per capita terms, with relatively low levels of adoption by the private and public sector. There is, however a strong demand growth trend: Vietnam is expected to see substantial growth in cloud computing spending between 2024 and 2030, seeing spending rising from USD1.57bn to USD8.07bn over this period, a CAGR of 31.3%. This rate of growth will be second only to India which has the fastest forecasted growth in the APAC region. The key strategy for Vietnam to win its position in this wave of digital infrastructure development, should be to maintain its strength as the most cost-effeciencient market comparing to its peers in the region (5USD per Watt for IDC cost, still the cheapest in SEA) and strong incentives to attract the capital and talents. Thanks to W.Media team Vincent Liew Alex Baya and many others, we had the chance to exchange perspectives with industrial leaders and always happy to see a full room with great interests and strong confidence for Vietnam IDC market.

  1y Our KPMG OnDemand-Data Center event last Friday was a great success, thanks to all the participants online and offline in Hanoi. This occasion served as a remarkable platform for leading industry professionals to exchange their perspectives on the current market landscape and future trends. The significance of data centers in facilitating the digital transformation and supporting the digital infrastructure sector cannot be overstated. Although Vietnam ranks among the top 10 emerging data center markets globally, several obstacles persist, such as the licensing process, power supply, and international connectivity. Nevertheless, the prevailing market sentiment remains robust, bolstered by the government's proactive approach to propel the Vietnamese market into a prominent position within the regional marketplace. Many thanks also go to MACE team specially John Campbell Chris Wallace for co-hosting the event; and our sector leaders Richard Stapley-Oh Ha Do and Market team for making it happen.

  1y Edited As the head office of Caspian region covering 6 countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia), our Kazakhstan Office supported MOT to host the Kazakh Delegations - the Hanoi G2G and B2B event on 16th March, which enabled the Kazkah SMEs to explore various synergies between the two countries and also raised strong interests from the Vietnam companies to know better the center Europe-Asia region. Kudos go to my Kazakh colleauges including Bolat Mynbayev, PMPZhansaya Tokisheva. We look forward to the official visit of Kazakh President to Vietnam during May and more opportunities following through.

  1y Prime location/scarcity justifies max 60% of a property product’s market position as Grade A asset. Nowadays, developers are facing much more sophisiticated home buyers, who expect Grade A standards within design and construction quality, service standard, smart living system. etc, when they spend more than 10K USD/SQM for condominiums in an emerging market like Vietnam(with infrastructure still being the bottle-neck of the whole urbanisation process, and GDP per capita of 3.7K USD). With more than 20K Billion VND investment( for land size of 7.4ha) and 5 year of great efforts for licensing process, Lotte Eco Smart City officially kicked-off its construction process. Developed by Lotte Land and will be constructed by Lotte E&C, this land mark project will fundamentally change the real estate market landscape by pushing up the development standard of Grade A projects in Ho Chi Minh. This should benefit mostly the home buyers and retail investors, and challenge other developers to deliver best quality to meet the expectations of their high value customers.
