The 1990s may have been the decade that spawned musical acts such as Whigfield and The Vengaboys, but looking back now, it wasnt a bad decade for music at all.

That claim is backed up when you look at the most popular songs of the decade on Spotify, which were cobbled together by Matt Daniels, data scientist and editor of Polygrap, after he pored through data from the hugely popular music streaming site.
