Size and weight is a big decision factor when you are trying to find the ideal camera for your needs. Canon 7D has external dimensions of 148 x 111 x 74 mm [5.83 x 4.37 x 2.91″] and weighs 860 g [1.90 lb / 30.34 oz] [including batteries]. Canon 60D has external dimensions of 145 x 106 x 79 mm [5.71 x 4.17 x 3.11″] and weighs 755 g [1.66 lb / 26.63 oz] [including batteries].

Weight is another important factor especially when deciding on a camera that you want to carry with you all day. Canon 60D is 105g lighter than the Canon 7D but we don't think this will make a significant difference.
Also keep in mind that body weight is not the only deciding factor when comparing two interchangeable camera bodies, you have to also take into account the lenses that you will be using with these bodies. Since both Canon 7D and Canon 60D have the same Canon EF/EF-S lens mount and APS-C sized sensors, lenses will not be a differentiator on total size of the system.

Canon 7D's LCD screen is a fixed type which provides almost no flexibility in shooting positions compared to 60D.Canon 7D vs Canon 60D: Sensor Comparison
