Son romand juicy lasting tint review

Today I’m reviewing the very popular Romand Juicy Lasting Tint which I have been looking at for a long time [while saving some money to buy it!].

I was particularly excited to try this lip tint since it is meant to be moisturizing and glossy which sounds great to someone with dry lips 🙂 Also, the colour range is pretty wide so there were lots to choose from! Eventually, I narrowed it down to

01 Juicy Oh! since I don’t have any lip tints in this shade~

Keep reading to hear my experience with this tint! .

Product Shade Range:

The Packaging:

The tint comes in a plastic tube which indicates the shade you have – mine is a bright tangerine orange to match the tint! I love how easy it is to tell the shade and it also makes me want to collect more of them since the packaging looks so nice!

The shade name is printed on the side of the tube which I really appreciate since sometimes it’s hard to read the name of the shade on the bottom. It’s just much clearer to see!

When you unscrew the lid, there is a small doe foot applicator which picks up a good amount of product, not too much.

The Consistency:

The tint has a light consistency which feels like a thin moisturizing oil when spread out – a bit like a thin Vaseline!

The colour of the tint matches the packaging and the image online which I’m happy with. After leaving it for a minute, it left a stain behind which matches the original colour [see 3rd pic].

It also has a noticeable sweet citrus smell with a slight bitter undertone [just like eating a citrus fruit!].

The Performance:

Application of the tint was very easy due to the small applicator which is easy to use on the lips. The tint spreads well and tints the top and bottom lip evenly. It feels comfortable and moisturizing after application.

This tint lasts well until you eat or drink which makes it fade and leaves a light stain behind. The stain matches the original colour. Since the original colour is quite light, the stain left behind is not strong so I normally reapply another layer.

Reapplication is easy just like the initial application. There is no need to worry about dry patches on your lips since the formula is so moisturizing. Even after wearing it for a few hours, it does not dry your lips out or emphasize any texture. It just stays very comfortable!

The intensity of the colour can be built up if you apply more layers so it is flexible if you prefer a natural tint or a bolder colour.

Pros:

Moisturizing formula

Can apply more layers to build up colour

Stain matches original colour

Citrus smell suits the shade

Pretty packaging with shade clearly displayed

Good range of shades available

Small applicator makes it easy to use

Cons:

Stain is quite light

Fades on eating and drinking

Overall Rating:

4.5/5

The Romand Juicy Lasting Tint has definitely lived up to its hype, for me! This tint is comfortable and moisturizing, easy to apply and can be built up to a stronger colour with more layers. The only thing which I am not in love with is it’s light stain which is not strong. Though I’m not too bothered since the original shade is a lighter colour – I wasn’t really expecting it to be strong!

Overall, I am really pleased with this tint and I would highly recommend it if you are on the lookout for a glossy, moisturizing lip tint in a bright fruity shade, and do not mind reapplying it after meals!

Does Romand lip tint stain?

Once the glossy finish wears off, the vibrant colour stains your lips and you can then either re-apply or use a lipbalm over. Look at the stain it leaves behind in the picture below!
