Which Doc Martens are most comfortable?
The Chelsea Boots, specifically the 2976 model, offer ease of wear and a sleek silhouette, while the Tarik Lo Leather Utility Shoes stand out as the pinnacle of comfort in the Doc Martens lineup. However, it's important to note that comfort and style are subjective, and what worked for me won't work for everyone.
Should you size up or down in Dr. Martens?
Generally, Dr Martens fit true to size, so we'd advise getting the size you usually are. However, Dr Martens can differ in size depending on the style you are buying. The classic boots can sometimes fit a little big so if you're in between sizes, consider going down a size or getting an insole.
What are the hardest Dr. Martens to break in?
Martens' original, thick, hardy, not-super-comfy boots. That's why the MiE Docs are hardest to break in but rest assured, if you bought the regular 1460 Dr. Martens, these tips will help as well. Their leather is a tad thinner, so it'll only be an easier process.
Why are Doc Martens so uncomfy?
The inner lining of Doc Martens is made of an abrasive material that rubs against the foot and creates blisters. Removing the insole takes some of the friction away and helps prevent blisters. It's still best to wear thick socks to prevent blisters around the ankle.
