I'm buying this again because my idiot self stepped on them and broke them... but I really love these headphones. I bought them because I live in an apartment next to very loud, very rude neighbors, and I was needing to create a little private audio space so I could unwind at home. [Landlord has heard my complaints, local police have heard my complaints... and while they decide what to do I need peace].
These are not noise cancelling, but I did find the over-the-ear model to be pretty effective for that. They're reasonably comfortable. I got the model with no mic so I can't speak to that, but I was very pleased with the balance when it comes to music. I'm no DJ but I do have an ear for music, and I'd previously returned a pair because I was disappointed with the balance.
I will agree with other reviews I've read elsewhere, in that these are a very nice budget option if you care about music. No bells and whistles, but the sound quality is quite lovely. I'm kicking myself for being careless and breaking my first pair.

I was looking for inexpensive over-ear headphones for meditation and sound blocking. These are exactly what I wanted. I can still hear some sounds but significantly muffled and much better than my in-ear sound blocking headphones. The sound quality is also much better than I've had before. These are soooo comfortable. When I first put them on to try out I didn't want to take them off. They fit small heads great. I usually have problems keeping headphones in place because they are too big, but these I had to expand a little bit to fit just right. I have a lot of sound sensitivity and a trip to the store with these was so much nicer. I think these would be great for any child tween and older [due to head size fit] that needs noise blocking. I am really glad to find these solid headphones at the right price.

These are compact, sound good, and worth the money. However they can start to feel a little fatiguing/pressure on my ears if I don't move them around often. I hope the cord/jack lasts, that is a usual weakness with these kinds of devices, and it is not heavy-duty. They don't have a volume control and they aren't noise cancelling, and I don't care.

I have had these headphones for about 8 months now; I like to wait a while to review something so that I can truly review it's quality and durability. In the past 8 months, I have used these for working out, listening while lying down, listening while making food, etc. Pretty much any activity that headphones would potentially be used for, I've used these for.
First of all, they are not the greatest at noise cancellation; they don't block out all noise. If you're looking for complete noise blocking, I would not recommend these. They do block out some noise, but they are not heavy-duty enough to be true noise-canceling.
Also, one of my biggest pet peeves about these is how long the cord is; I have had to fold it and secure it with twist-ties [you could use zip ties if you wish it to be more permanent], and that has worked for me for the most part. If I don't tie the cord up, it hangs down to my knees approximately [and I'm a tall guy at 6'2], so I think they are not the greatest for mobility because of that. If you're planning on using them for a sound studio and you need a long cord, they'd be perfect. I don't use them for this purpose, so using a twist-tie works for me.
I've run with these on, and they are fantastic at not coming off. Even when I'm sweating a lot, they stay pretty secured to my head. If I'm doing bench presses [I wear them to the gym], I'll just rotate them down so that the headband is sitting along my forehead line, and they stay there just fine.
The sound quality is pretty good; I'm not any kind of audiophile, so I don't really pick apart how well they sound vs. other headphones; I know that the sound is clear and crisp, and music as well as speech sounds very nice with these, and can be plenty loud enough to not hear surrounding noise.
So, my overall review would be that they are not the best for noise-cancellation and they have a very long cord. They also fit very snugly and stay on when you'd be sweating, working out, doing cardio, etc. The sound is pretty good, and I'm overall happy with them.

These are excellent at noise reduction. I had to go on a trip to Texas from Chicago. Going to Texas my ride was normal and these headphones noticeably reduced the airplane noise by at least 40% or more easily. But the real test came on my ride home from Texas where we rode through stormy weather meaning that the seatbelt sign constantly stayed on for our 2hour bumpy ride, To make matters even worse there was a constantly crying baby right in the row of seats in front of me. So I cranked up the volume on my HD Zune player to level 15 and put on these headphones and those sounds were all cut considerably and made for a comfortable trip. I played some Enigma songs and just hung on until the trip was over. Thanks goodness for these great headphones making my trip bearable. For the price offered, these are more than worth it! They are solidly constructed to last a very long time. They don't need batteries to deaden unwanted noises. I never brought this brand before but came away very impressed with them.

Realmente los comentarios anteriores me asustaron sin embargo, como ya había comprado unas bocinas Edifier me atreví a comprar éstos audífonos y vaya sorpresa . Me considero audiofilo medio y mis oídos están algo entrenados. La calidad de audio es muy buena.. para el precio es superior. Unos bajos Buenos y no dejan mal. Una presencia de medios bastante aceptable y los agudos finos . En concreto si te gusta escuchar música de calidad éstos audífonos te permiten disfrutar sin perdidas. En la construcción de materiales son muy buenas fuertes y sin embargo no pesan, no aprietan demasiado los oídos, quizá un poquitos más grandes hubiera sido mejor pero uso lentes y no molestan. Los recomiendo si buscas calidas y no potencia. Pero su volumen es bueno si estas sordo jijiji.

Eu tinha um Razer Kraken X e tive que trocar pois aquele produto é muito ruim em áudio e o acabamento dele é muito frágil, o plástico dele ressecou e quebrou no meio duas vezes, na primeira eu dei um jeito mas na segunda não teve chance de resolver e tive que me despedir dele, comprando este fone da Edifier. A princípio, acabei de receber ele, e venho-me o choque; ele é MUITO bom! Sim, não tenho nem horas para contar e já amei o fone em todos os sentidos, ele é leve, confortável, acabamento lindo e estiloso, além de ser confortável inclusive para quem usa óculos como eu. Testei música clássica, rock, rap, indie, pop e metal, e pasmem, ele lidou bem com todos os estilos aqui citados, graves bem definidos, isola bem o exterior, além do volume ser consideravelmente bom. O que me frustrou é não ter controle de volume, isso faz falta em um fone para se usar em computador/celular, além de não ter micro, então, atentem-se a isso! Edit1: Depois de quase 1 ano de uso, posso concluir que é um fone incrível, MUITO DURÁVEL. Funcionando bem até então. Apenas descascou um pouco a almofada do fone, porém, é algo normal, e além disso, os fios foram prejudicados [pelos meus gatos, infelizmente], o que vai reduzir a vida útil dele, porém, está funcionando até então bem! Só cuidado com os gatos :] [Por isso, aumentei +1 estrela!]

I love these headphones! Excellent high quality sound, super comfortable on the ears and head, light weight yet durable material that feels good to touch, stylish design, the cord length is perfect, the top and sides bends well to fit your head. I could go on. Great price too, very affordable! I workout and these are very breathable around my ears keeping them cool and fresh and staying put without hurting my scalp. These are super comfy! :] The noise isolation is pretty close to noise cancellation so I gave it a 5/5 above since that was the closest category. These are the best headphones I have ever purchased, super happy with them and I will recommend Edifier to everyone. I will definitely buy Edifier again in the future, specifically these H840 headphones. Thank you so much! Keep up the great work! :]

Me he esperado bastante tiempo para poder dar una opinión objetiva de este producto. Tras varios usos puedo decir que es bastante cómodo una vez puesto en los oídos, para mí eso era lo más relevante ya que he probado otros y a la media hora me los tenía que quitar porque me molestaban.
En cuanto al sonido como no he probado auriculares de alta gama no puedo decir si a priori son la caña de España, aunque para mí se escuchan muy bien, no tengo ninguna queja, por tanto relación calidad-precio son una pasada.
Si no os queréis dejar mucho dinero y no sois muy exigentes estos auriculares cumplirán todas vuestras expectativas.

La qualité du son est correct. Le confort est super bien, il convient parfaitement bien ma tête et mes oreilles! La longueur du fil m'arrange tres bien puisque initialement je l'ai acheté pour mon piano Yamaha. Le prix est raisonnable.
