How To Fix The Problem?
Figure out if your Spotify account is not updated. Go to your play store app and update your Spotify account for free. If the problem still remains you need to change your phone settings by taking the following steps. The settings for android and iPhone are somewhat different. We will go through solving problems on both of them.
For Android users
- Go to the settings option.
- Click on the Apps feature.
- Scroll down to find Spotify. Click on the Spotify app.
- Click on the optimize battery usage button.
- Play a song on your Spotify account and press the power off button.
- The music will be paused if the mobile goes to sleep on its own.
- Dont forget to press the power button after playing a song.
For iPhone users
- Go to the stings.
- Click on App Settings.
- Click on the going to general option.
- Scroll down and you will find a feature named auto-lock.
- Set the auto-lock to never an option.
- Now go to your Spotify account and play a song from your playlist.
- Lock the device. Your music will keep on playing.
Sometimes it may happen that the songs keep on playing even after the screen goes off. But the notification for the playing song cannot be seen from the lock screen. This is because you have not permitted your phone to show apps.
To solve this, go to the settings and go-to app. Here find the Spotify app and click on it. Go to its notification and turn the display notification on. You will now be able to see the app running on the display even after the screen is lock.
You can change the music from your playlist without even switching on the phone. Press the side button and you will see the song progress right on the screen. Pause, rewind, replay, or play next by the options available on the screen. That makes it more convenient to use.
