UPDATE 2: Pretty obvious I was sent a returned or refurbished set when I paid for new

UPDATE 2: So, I just lost the right earbud on my set. I am a regular user, so I'd say my use could be a good measure for life expectancy. 6 months of solid use is what can be reasonably expected. I'm a bit disappointed, but can't say they didn't serve me well during those months.I just received these today, Feb 9th, but the tamper seal on the box was sliced. So, they were obviously opened before and the headphones don't have ear pieces on them in the packaging when the packaging has places for them. I haven't charged, or tried them out yet because this is incredibly disappointing at 50 bucks. If I'm getting a return or refurbished set, I expect a corresponding discount. This is my fourth-yes fourth set of anker headphones as the battery is giving out on my soundbuds surge, but this is the most upset I've been with what has felt like a solid company. They might be fine and sound great, and I'll update this later to review the product itself, but until then, disappointed.UPDATE: like others, Anker reached out and sent a replacement set. The replacement set was new and not nearly as disappointing as the first. You've got to give them credit where it's due. If you have a problem with their products, they'll make every effort to make it right. Now, for the audio quality: like others, I can understand their complaints about weak audio. However, I will add that this set has an EQ feature that my previous set did not. My previous set of soundbuds surge does sound better from jump, but also had a dismal battery life when compared with these. So, the sound weakness results in a substantially longer battery. And if one uses the EQ feature, the sound greatly improves. Think of it as "power saver vs. performance mode" in your phone or computer. I use power saver for audiobooks and performance for music. Point being- these may not satisfy an audiophile, but work just fine for my purposes.

Update 3: I dropped these in the mid, under 4+ inches of snow, for a month. Found them today by literally stepping on them. Bright en home, washed them off under full spray on the sink, charged them up, and they were good to go. Absolutely amazing, especially for the price point.

Update 2: The warranty replacement I received from Anker has been my everyday carry headphones for more than a year and a half. They still look great, have good battery life [7+ hrs of Bluetooth streaming from phone + 30 min or so of calls], no mechanical defects or signs of where they might wear out and break. Adding one star.

Update: after 11 months of near daily use and abuse, the first pair broke. Right ear speaker is inoperative and the plastic surround is separating into two pieces. Anker honored their warranty and sent a replacement free of charge.

These have become my daily drivers while at home and traveling, taking over for the more expensive Phiaton BT150NCs and RHA MA650s that I don't want to have damaged. I also use Sony WH-1000XM3s on airplanes and as my "reference" headphones set, and now have Sony XB400s also.

With a good deal from a silicone tip or foam comply-style tip, these will definitely dampen noise in the frequency range of speech, blenders, babies crying, etc. Lower frequencies like aircraft cabin wind at jet engine noise, diesel motor rumble will still make it through. Think NRR 15ish or so earplug. Just enough to take the edge off of electric chainsaw whine so I can actually hear my music at reasonable volume while chainsawing, for example...

The sound quality of these is nowhere near the XM3, less than the XB400s, similar to the MA650, but better in most ways to the BT150NCs. Absolutely amazing for the price point really. Very low self noise on the Spirit Pro combined the noise isolation means it's good for people who prefer listening at lower volumes, like I do. Apt X codec selected by phone is good enough sound quality for my favorite music tracks, hearing Duolingo spoken audio, etc.

Pros: Easy pairing, waterproof enough for the shower or full submersion the pool, long playtime, very low self noise or hiss while playing audio, noise isolation, incredibly convenient form factor while in use and around the neck storage.

Cons: micro-usb [use one of those magnetic USB charging cables!], no vibration for calls / notifications, spatialisation of audio meh at best, warm and inaccurate bass below 200hz or so [even with the built in EQ mode on extra bass, music player EQ can usually coax more lows out, but it gets muddy easily], some callers complain about the quality of my mic, especially in windy and high noise environments.

So, I've been watching and waiting for these ever since Anker announced the Spirit line. I've been reading the reviews and talk about the Spirit and the Spirit X earphones for a couple months, so I was pretty excited for what potentially could be included in the Spirit Pro feature-set, given it was going to be $10 more expensive.

The TL;DR is that these are the best Bluetooth earphones I've used to date. And pretty on-par [quality wise] with my $130 wired earphones. Latency is A+, sound quality is A+, connectivity is A+, comfort is A+, battery life/charge is A+, and the price for all of this is S tier.

Sound quality:

On this topic, I can say having owned and used Sennheiser HD650's and some pretty nice RHA MA750i's that the Spirit Pro's really hold up very well. The highs and mids are pretty good and the base, even in balanced mode is quite respectable. Shifting it into extra bass mode is fairly unnecessary for me, but it definitely pumps up the beat more and can potentially drown out more background sound.

Though from my experience, the sound isolation is fantastic. Probably the best seal and noise cancellation I've gotten from a pair of earphones so far.

Comfort and fit:

So for me, the default EarWings were the perfect size for me, and I shifted down to the smaller EarTips because the medium size was a bit too much over a long period of time. But both were an air-tight seal. I wore them for 4? or so hours and barely minded them at all. Very very comfortable for me. ### A revision, I've found the medium EarTips actually perfect after some extra use. I don't have to put them as deep as I thought I did to keep them sealed and stable in my ear. Even more comfortable than I thought!

The only odd quirk is it can sometimes feel weird because the seal is so airtight that putting your face in extreme positions [really huge smiles] pulls/moves the earphones but doesn't break the air seal or threaten to pull them out. So I can doing all kinds of crazy faces and jumping around and they won't budge, which is perfect.

I'll also note that the cable clips work great, both the one that comes on it [Z/S pattern cable clip] and the single line clip work very well and stay where you want them to even when moving around. However they aren't so tight that if you snag the cable on something, it'll rip out of your ear or anything, instead it'll just loosen from the clip a bit.

Connectivity and latency:

From my testing, I can walk across my entire apartment through 3-4 pretty thick walls and the connection won't even skip a beat or get low. The only real connectivity issue I ran into was occasionally at the end of a song it would stop instead of moving on, but that could just be my phone and all I had to do was press play again on the controller attached to the cable to start it going again.

Sometimes the latency will be a bit long, but 95% of the time you don't notice any latency. Of course, if you're just listening to music or something it won't be a problem anyways. Just know that you can totally use these to watch YouTube videos and things of that nature without worrying about the latency being unbearable.

Connecting to a device has been very painless in my experience. You just turn the headphones on while they're near any device openly searching for Bluetooth devices and it'll be found in a couple seconds. Though it can only be connected to one device at a time, so to switch you have to turn it off and back on while the other device is near.

The Bluetooth version in my manual stated it was running Bluetooth 4.2, so take from that what you will.

And finally some minor tidbits. The indicator light for power/charge state/pair state is very nice to see and conveys what it needs to convey fairly intuitively. The charging cable is pretty short, and doesn't come with a USB power adapter, so you'll have to have your own if you want to plug it into a wall. The little pouch they give you to hold your earphones is very nice quality and has one of those rigid springy openings you have to gently squeeze to come apart, which I quite like. Finally, the battery charges and runs for about as long as they advertise, so that's great!

I don't think I'm forgetting anything else... so this product is an easy buy in my opinion.

Tested using an iPhone 7, an Apple TV, and a Windows PC.

5.0 out of 5 stars These convinced me that bluetooth is the future, use these every day

Reviewed in Canada on January 20, 2019

Preamble: I own many low-to-mid range earbuds and headphones from Sony, Apple, Audio-Technica, Bluedio, and JVC. My prior experience with Bluetooth was meh on sound quality and connection stability, and I mostly stuck with wired. These Anker earbuds are not perfect, but overall they are such a great package for the price that I now use them daily. I highly recommend them.

PROs: - Physically look and feel high quality - the earbuds have either a metal casing or a very high-quality plastic that feels like metal - Love the magnets to keep them together around my neck. - Really good ear fit [I changed the tips to the "Large" size that is included]. They stay in while running no problem. - Good noise isolation. - aptX sound quality is really good - I can't tell these apart from my other wired earbuds [although my over-ear headphones are obviously better, particularly on bass]. - Absolutely no video sync issues with Android [Youtube, Netflix]. - Battery life is as rated - I can get through an commute and work day of constant use no problem. - Pairing always works flawlessly with my Android phone [note: I haven't tried pairing with multiple devices]. - The included carrying pouch has a strong clasp that works really well.

MIDDLING: - Distance is decent - I can be ~30ft and one wall away from my phone and they work just fine. More than that and the connection starts having issues. - Microphone is good but not great - people tell me that my voice is clear, but it picks up any outside sound [wind, other people's voices].

CONs: - I get very occasional Bluetooth connection hiccups - these always fix themselves in under a second. I don't know if my phone, Bluetooth 4.2, or the earbuds themselves are to blame. - Doesn't have Blutooth 5.0, although from my understanding Bluetooth 5.0 is more focused on improving lower-power IOT devices so maybe this isn't a big deal. - No auto-stop when you remove the earbuds from your ear or magnetically put them together [a feature found on some more expensive earbuds]. - The audio quality of the other person's voice on phone calls is not good - the connection seems to drop to a much lower bitrate during phone calls.

CONCLUSION: I recommend buying these earbuds, despite the few shortcoming. I love keeping them around my neck all day [using the magnets], hidden under a shirt or sweater when not in use and then pulling them out when I want to listen to music or a podcast. The IP68 rating gives me confidence in taking them anywhere. If I am going into a meeting / formal setting, then I tuck them into the little included pouch and they neatly fit into a pock. While my over-ear headphones obviously have better sound quality, these Anker earbuds are so convenient and have good enough sound quality that they have effectively replaced everything else I own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente relación precio-beneficio

Grazie Amazon!

Spirit Pro

This Sports headphones Spirit Pro from Anker is my first sports headphones. The product came in nice packing, the very first impression looked high end. The headphones have a nice build and of light weight.

In the package along with a pair of headphones I got a bunch of differently sized ear wings and the buds. With a short usb charging cable. Pairing was very clearly detailed in the manual and it was easy. The strong magnets to hold the earphones together around the neck are very convenient and prevent the headphones from falling off when not in use. There is an option to adjust the slack around neck.

Coming to sound quality, these are with dual EQ and qualcomm aptx bluetooth technology. To activate I had to press and hold the PLUS and play buttons for a second and the Bass is enhanced and the audio experience was incredible.

Charging is quick and easy with USB, The battery life is very long.
