Lỗi the sims 4 origin is not installed năm 2024

I just finished downloading the Sims 4 on Steam and launched it for the first time. Instead of the game loading, I go an error notification from Origin saying, quote, "The game The Sims™ 4 does not appear to be installed. Please install it or try relaunching the game." I noticed on my Origin page the game was not installed. I also owned a copy of the Sims 4 prior to launch on Steam and saw that it now had a Steam banner over it. So, just to cover my bases, I installed the game a second time on Origin. The error still persists, but now the Origin download is stuck on the "Finalizing" stage and will not finish downloading. I have validated file integrity, but was waiting to do a fresh install as a last resort. Anyone have a solution?

I recently bought The Sims 4 on Steam and activated it inside Vortex. I had to do this manually, as it didn't automatically pick up on the file location. Every time I try to start the game up, it gives me an error message saying "Oirigin is not installed, which is required to play your game. Please reinstall Origin." Is there a way around this or does it mean that Vortex only works for modding the Sims 4 through the Origin launcher and doesn't support Steam?

I am having a similar problem. I tried playing Sims 4 today but it kept bringing up the origin installer. I tried checking for game updates, updating origin, restarting origin, logging out and back in, going offline and then back on and finally uninstalling. When I tried reinstalling it though it keeps failing the install. I'm honestly getting frustrated. It keeps giving me Error: 327684:2

@Basilhs007 Try disabling Origin in-game: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.

If that doesn't help, either disable Windows Defender's Controlled Folder Access, or add exceptions for Origin.exe, TS4_x64.exe, and TS4.exe.

If you have a third-party antivirus running, please try disabling that intead, at least long enough to test. It's often not enough to only set exceptions anymore.

If none of this helps, do a clean uninstall and reinstall of Origin:

  • First, clear Origin's cache.
  • Right-click on the Task Bar and open the Task Manager. Scroll through looking for Origin entries. If you find any, click on them and End Task.
  • Download Revo Uninstaller [the free version is fine] from here.
  • Launch Revo, select Origin from the list, and click Uninstall.
  • When it finishes uninstalling, select "Moderate" under "scanning modes," and click Scan.
  • If Revo finds any remaining registry entries, select all, delete, and click Next.
  • Revo will display "Remaining Data and Folders. Select all of them except for the "Origin Games" folder, if it appears. [This is where Sims 4 and other Origin games are installed by default.] Delete the rest.
  • Close Revo, and restart your computer.

Next, download the full Origin installer and run it. Here's the direct download link:

//download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe

Be sure to run both the installer and Origin itself as an admin: right-click on each and select "Run as Administrator."
