Cle de peau beauty foundation review

I have been absolutely desperate to review the Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural because I have had so many questions about it. Having tested it for a few days now, I am ready to share my thoughts! Here’s what you need to know.

Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural

So I think it is pretty important to do your research with this foundation because it comes with a high price tag. So many people have asked whether this product is worth the money, and I really think it comes down to whether it suits your skin type and your needs. Just a little warning though – this is a very good all-rounder and the formula has elements that work for a range of skin types.

The new Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural is £110 for 35ml and available now at:

  • Cult Beauty*
  • Harrods*

I will try and help you work out if you need it in this review.

My Review of Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural

To be perfectly honest, I really tried not to like this foundation from the get-go but the problem was, it was love at first sight! I know you probably don’t want to hear that!

This is an absolutely beautiful foundation, and so it bloody well should be for £110!! One thing to point out on the price before I continue about the product is that the bottle contains 35ml. The standard bottle size for foundation is 30ml. So if you think about that, the price is more like £94 – which is still A LOT but I thought I’d just mention it, you know!!

Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural

I think the most striking thing about the Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural is that once applied, it literally does not look like you have anything on your skin. Except it just looks a whole lot better. The coverage is amazing for evening out tone and texture and imparting a very natural looking glow.

If you are wary of anything too dewy, or shiny, this will tick that box perfectly because there is no element of shine.

Also, not only does it not look like foundation, it doesn’t feel like it either. The three days I have been wearing it, I have forgotten I had it on until I glanced in the mirror and saw how fab my skin looked. Even right before bed time!!

It wears beautifully, doesn’t crease and go patchy, and doesn’t get super shiny, even without powder. I have combination skin and this just works for me. I haven’t powdered it yet, but I’d consider lightly setting down the t-zone if I had a big day out – but that would be just in case.

Your Instagram Questions Answered

I gathered lots of your questions via my Instagram stories. These are the main types of questions that came through. Please feel free to ask any more.

How does Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural Wear?

I have found the staying powder to be impressive, even without powder. It doesn’t settle into creases or break up, even in my oilier areas.

Is it good for oily skin?

I have combination skin and this works really well for me. I think oily skins will do very well also with this, as the formula uses oil blotting powder within it to tackle sebum production.

Is it good for dry skin?

Again, I think this will work well with dry skin types owing to its skincare infused formula. It is designed to be intensely hydrating and also aims to improves skin’s condition with continuous use.

What is the finish of Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation Natural like?

The finish is extremely natural looking. It delivers perfected skin without the look of makeup.

How glowy is it? Is it dewy?

The formula delivers the most perfect naturally radiant look on the skin. Nothing too dewy or glowy so that even if a little of your natural glow breaks through, it never pushes the foundation over to the shiny, sweaty look. It’s excellent.

What is the coverage like?

I would say this is a light to medium buildable foundation, but I don’t think you need to worry about that. For me, I find that the way it reflects light means it perfects the look of skin, without the look of coverage. It’s amazing.

How do you choose your shade?

So the shade I have and love is shade O20 Light Medium Ochre. It is very very slightly on the darker end of my favourite foundation matches, and I’d say most similar to my colour match in the DIOR Natural Nude which I also love.

For reference, my other good matches right now are:

  • La Mer Radiant Skin Tint in Light 22
  • Marc Jacobs Extra Shot in Light 140
  • Guerlain L’Essentiel High Perfection in 02N
  • Givenchy Skincaring Foundation in 2-N150
  • Tom Ford Traceless Soft Matte Foundation in Buff
  • Dior Forever Natural Nude Foundation in 2N

Hopefully these shade references help. I am told by a lovely reader with a similar skin tone to me that b10 also works really well. Here is the shade range chart which should also help:
