Key Features
Easy Quick Lock Mechanism
Before using your poles, make sure that your locks are firmly secured. While the tip is on the ground, test to ensure the lock is secure by pushing on the top of the handle so the tip presses into the ground. If your pole shortens while doing this then you need to readjust the height and tighten the lock more.
Step 1. Open Tab and Adjust
Fully open the quick lock tab and adjust to desired height.
Step 2. Tighten Thumbscrew
Tighten Thumbscrew by turning it 1/4" to 1/2" turns clockwise.
Step 3. Close Quick Lock Tab
Quick Lock Tab should be difficult to close when properly tightened.
Step 4. Test and Readjust
Apply weight to the pole. If pole begins to collapse, repeat steps 1-3 until it remains at desired height.

- Mud Baskets: When hiking in mud, sand or other soft surfaces, Mud Baskets allow the hiker to use trekking poles without the pole slipping into the soft ground. This provides leverage and saves energy during wet and sandy hikes.
- Snow Baskets: When temperatures get chilly, prevent trekking poles from sinking into the snow

I had high hopes for these poles but they're a total disappointment, certainly not worth the $47aud...
1- I'm 6'3" and I have big hands but the hand straps on these poles can not be adjusted small enough for my large hands, it makes the poles quite useless... and to make it worse the straps are a different length on each pole..
2- I have the poles extended to 125cm, almost fully extended, but they're very noisy, they rattle quite badly as I move them...
3- The locking clamps are very plasticy and seem quite weak, I cant see them lasting...
On the upside the cork grips "seem" quite nice, but due to the other issues that is irrelevant...

I have had a variety of hiking poles in the past. My last ones ended up trashed after an unfortunate trip while hiking in Switzerland, and so I decided to give these a try based off of the great reviews. I have used them while hiking on dry rocky, elevation hikes in Arizona and Utah, and also on long, muddy hikes in flatlander Wisconsin. I've been impressed at their functionality on both of these types of terrain, and am looking forward to trying them in more mountainous areas in the future. Things I like: They have a secure clip to lock their length into place, rather than simply twisting them into place [those poles have failed me in the past]. I like that these poles come with a variety of tips to them, so that I can alternate them as needed for different terrain. I also like that I can easily break them down and fit them into my suitcase. They are light weight, easy to grip, lock easily in place, and break down quickly and easily. And they're an excellent price.

Bought these as read that it can help take pressure of the knees when walking long distances which I am trying to do more of. Didn't want to shell out a lot of money and after some research went for these. Nice and sturdy and the locking/adjustment mechanism is really quick and easy to use. Nice to have the set of tips to go with it for different conditions that lots of more expensive poles don't offer. Cork grips are really comfortable and it's great to have he secondary foam grips, as when going up hill you can shorten the hand to ground distance without having to adjust the poles. Wrist straps also comfortable even without gloves. There is a bit of vibration on harder ground but for the cost vs shock absorption models it doesn't bother me. Took them out on a long hike and could really feel the difference. Unfortunately one snapped when I fell but at 120kilos, I don't think any poles would have withstood that, so have purchased another pair, as this was not the poles fault.
