2023 Subaru Ascent trim levels

What Are Four Changes For The 2023 Ascent?

Below you will find the four most important changes to the 2023 Subaru Ascent. Should any of these changes pique your interest, you can ask us anything about them, and one of our team members at Penz Subaru of Rochester will answer them.

There Is An All-New Design

The 2023 Ascent has been designed with a significantly more aggressive-looking grille and a new front fascia. In addition to these exterior changes, the new Ascent also has redesigned LED headlights that have been made more modern and a wholly different bumper design.

The new and improved bumper is believed to possess lower edge air ducts, improving airflow underneath the vehicle. The rear of the Ascent hasn’t been left out either, with the rear lights being replaced with C Shaped LEDs.

Cabin Connect Is Introduced

Since the Ascent is a large seven or eight-seater model [depending on which trim level you choose], there are three rows. This can make it difficult for people in the first and second row to communicate with people in the third.

That’s why the cabin connect feature was introduced in the 2023 Ascent models equipped with a Harman Kardon QuantumLogic surround sound speaker system.

This feature allows drivers and passengers to communicate easily with people seated in the third row. It works through a front microphone that broadcasts what the people near the front are saying to the back of the vehicle through rear speakers.

More Innovative Tech Features

Subaru has outfitted the Ascent models with modern and innovative tech features to keep up with the times and the competition. For example, every 2023 Ascent is outfitted with an 11.6-inch touchscreen which is far superior to last year’s 8-inch touchscreen found in Base models.

The new Ascents also feature Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay and are outfitted with Valet Mode, which allows drivers to deactivate their alarm when valeting.

The 2023 Ascent also comes with a Starlink multimedia system, the What3words navigation system, and the latest version of TomTom navigation.

New Onyx Edition

The Onyx Edition trim level has been added to the 2023 Ascent model lineup. This trim level attracts buyers because it has a stylish black exterior trim, beautiful badges, and 20-inch wheels. In addition, this new trim level comes standard with a power sunshade and an exquisite panoramic power moonroof.

Yet, what many will likely enjoy the most with the Onyx Edition trim is that it features X-Mode with hill descent control. This feature allows drivers to drive through dirt, snow, and mud by adjusting throttle, torque, and traction control.
