Colourpop yes please palette review indonesia

Shortly after Natasha Denona came out with the ‘Sunset Eyeshadow Palette’ [along with the hefty price tag of $129 USD] ColourPop swooped in and gave us a more affordable alternative.

The ‘Yes Please’ palette includes 12 pressed powder shadows that mimics the theme of the Natasha Denona palette.

The ‘Yes Please’ palette [$16 USD] sold out within the first 10 minutes during its launch, so I snagged it on the second release, a few weeks later.

Each shadow contains 0.85 g of product, compared to a standard MAC eyeshadow single, which contains 1.5 g of product [I had heard people mention that the shadows in this palette were smaller than they expected – I’d say they’re about the size of a nickel].

Also wearing MAC ‘Nylon’ as the brow bone and inner corner highlight.

The shadows [matte and metallic finishes] are a dream. They pick up so easily on a brush, they blend beautifully, and the price is right! And I’m absolutely obsessed with the look I created. I have zero complaints!

Clearly I have been sleeping on ColourPop’s pressed shadows. So tell me in the comments below, what shades do I need to pick up on my next order?

ColourPop Yes, Please! Pressed Powder Shadow Palette Review, Swatches: Hey guys, today I am really excited because I am finally starting to review one of my favourite brands of all time – ColourPop. I thought why not start with a cult favourite product which is pretty much a hit amongst everyone. The ColourPop Yes Please Eyeshadow palette was sold out for a long time on colourpop’s website soon after its launch. So I did in fact get it after a long time since international shipping + customs take a lot of time. Besides, initial days when it first came out, I remember it got out of stock within hours of restock. So let’s pat all our backs who managed to get a hold of this around that time. Anyways, let’s jump right in to our review today and I will tell you everything I feel about this product in detail.

In case you’re wondering, yes we will be covering each and every shade individually. 🙂

The original fixed 12 pan palette is all about that golden hour glow – the hottest shades inspired by our fave time of the day.

In Detail ColourPop Yes, Please! Pressed Powder Shadow Palette Review, Swatches and My Experience

The packaging of colourpop palettes is quite nice. Its made of cardboard and had a magnetic shut mechanism. Cardboard packaging is specially nice for international customers because it reduces the weight of the product = less customs or import duty taxes. Magnetic closure makes sure the palette doesn’t open up easily inside your bag. However, I do wish there was a small mirror. But at this price, I’m not really missing the inbuilt mirror here. The shadow pans are removable in case you want to de-pot them.

The outer box is lemon yellow in colour, the palette itself is off-white. The shade names are not written inside, but they are printed on the backside of the palette as well as the outer carton box. Oh, a weird thing I notice here. The name of the palette “Yes Please” is only printed on the backside of the palette. On the front it says “Cute AF”. I don’t know about you but I am sure a lot of young moms like me wouldn’t want their kids asking them the full form of AF when they read it. just sayin…its quite unnecessary. Specially when you’re a brand famous among youngsters.

Moving on, when the palette was launched, CP [colourpop] said its going to be limited edition. But later on, I guess now its permanent because I don’t see “limited edition” anywhere on the product page. Describing the palette only in a few words, I would say its a beautiful palette of warm and neutral shades. There are mattes as well as shimmers in. I have been using this palette for a long time now, and I have to say except for a couple, most shades are lovely. Well pigmented, blendable as well as long lasting. Let us get into the details of each shade one by one.

Individual Shades in the ColourPop Yes Please Palette

Full Zip [Matte] – Its a light-warm beige with a touch of flesh tinge. This is very fine, satiny-smooth, almost creamy while applying. It works great as it sets the base nicely. Colourpop full zip is also available as a single pressed powder shadow.

Big Cocktails [Matte] – The first thing you’ll notice about this shade is its satiny texture. Its a warm orange shade with coral hints. The super lovely texture, great pigmentation and easy blendability make it one of the standouts in this palette. It lasts very long too.

Champs [Matte] – A lovely light-medium warm peach shade. Not as pigmented as the previous one though. However the texture is very fine and smooth. Applies great on the lids and lasts long.

Bling [frost] – This is a warm copper shade with frost finish. Not exactly shimmery or glittery. It has great pigmentation with a very smooth texture. Shows up better when applied with fingers rather than a brush.

Louie [soft frost] – a lovely warm orange-copper with slight coral undertones. This does not come out as frosty as Bling. Thats why I call it soft frost in finish. This shade is again very pigmented and has a great buttery texture.

Butter Cake [metallic] – a light to medium gold with yellow undertones. This is one of my favourites from the palette. The intensity is build-able. It very soft and has a lovely metallic reflection. Not very significant fall out. There is no noticeable unwanted shimmers in it. Just a lovely metallic gold.

Spoiled [matte] – a beautiful medium-deep brick red shade. It has warm undertones and the intensity is again build-able. Blends beautifully. Another stand out in the palette as far as quality is concerned.

GNO [matte] – this is a unique orange coral-brown shade. Louie almost looks like its frosty cousin. Good pigmentation and a great texture. This is is easy to blend as well.

Mischief [matte] – it is a light-medium canary yellow shade with warm undertones. This is the shade which impressed me the least. On a single swipe, the pigmentation and colour pay off is not as good as the other shades in the palette. However, when you build it up, it does look quite nice and pigmented. Easy to blend with a good texture. Although slightly dusty in the pan.

Note to Self [matte] – a medium dull brown shade. A good transition colour for my beauties with dusky skin tone. This has good texture and is easy to blend. Slightly dusty in the pan, but nothing significant. You can work with it very easily.

Chauffeur [frost with subtle shimmers] – This shade speaks out to me as the perfect shade for “Indian festive season”. A lovely warm orange with yellow undertones. This particular shade is best patted on with a synthetic brush or applied with your fingers. Other ways, it tends to lose its frost-intensity. The pigmentation is nice and the texture is great although it has some orange-yellow shimmers in it. These shimmers do not fall around, so you don’t have to worry.

French Kiss [matte] – “seal it with a kiss” they say. Colourpop sealed this iconic palette with a french kiss. Well jokes apart, this is another lovely shade in the palette. A deep brown shade with burgundy undertones. Fantastic pigmentation and a very smooth texture. Because this is so pigmented and rich, you have to be careful and pick up a little product on the brush at first. Then you can build it up as needed. But keep in mind, with this shade, a little product delivers a lot of pigment.

On an average, the shadows have a lasting power of approximately 7.5 to 8 hours on my lids when I have a primer underneath. Without a primer, needless to say they wouldn’t last as long.

So as lovely as all these shades are, I have to point out to the fact that some of the shades swatch better with the fingers while aren’t as impressive on brush swatch. So you need to work a little more with them, may be build and blend more. Nonetheless, at this price, this palette is definitely a steal.

You can go full glam with it or keep it subtle. Yes Please has everything you need. For me, it has been my goto palette. I reach for it by default because from everyday looks to party looks, I can work them all with it. All the shades have amazing pigmentation and they blend beautifully. There is nothing to not like about in this palette. So if you’re on an edge, I’d say go and grab it as soon as possible. Pretty sure you won’t regret it.

If I had to choose one affordable makeup brand to rule them all, I'd pick ColourPop in a heartbeat. There, I said it. It's a brand I'll continually stan for its incredibly high-quality offerings at such a low price point. Sometimes, even I find it hard to believe some of the price tags.

Did ColourPop discontinue so jaded palette?

I started doing looks with the ColourPop So Jaded Palette in November and at that time it was still [surprisingly] available on the ColourPop website. As far as I can tell, it seems to be discontinued now. There are a total of 30 shades.
